True Blood Season 3

I am really not sure how i feel about this season.

I love the show as a whole and thus cannot judge it on this 1 season like so many people probably would if they were me. Due to the fact that i love the show, the characters and until now the plot i am going to stick with it and wait for the next season (4) where hopefully they will both propel the show forward as this last season was kinda a stalemate and draw the interest back. You can’t just rely in explicit sex scenes which normally fit fine into the story and this time i don’t know if they all fit in there or if they threw these scenes in because they think this is why we watch.

So i just finished watching the entire season and while it kept me interested mainly because of the fact that it was “something to watch” i really hope next season its a show i WANT to watch.

Movie: Nightmare on Elm Street (2010)

I don’t watch movies based on reviews.

With that said I liked this movie a lot more than I thought I would. It’s a remake or re-imagine or reboot…whatever you want to call it. So its suppose to be part 1. I say part 1 because of course, they made it look like there would be a part 2 when the movie was over. I like that this movie had a lot of classic Freddy stuff and they did a good idea of explaining who Freddy is if I remember correctly the original Nightmare series didn’t go into much depth until later installments.

Movie: Fright Night (1985)

Now, this is a movie I love, I grew up watching this movie.

Fright Night is an old-school vampire flick from the 80’s as a child I loved vampires and think every child goes through that stage. It at one point changed to a love werewolf movie and so on and so forth. Its hard to complain about this movie, it has all the classic vampire lore and while they never mention what time of year it is they set the scenes well with the sun setting early and leaves falling to the ground and I can only assume that it’s around Halloween time. Notice how I call these “thoughts” and not “reviews” I don’t want to give you lots of synopsis and plot lines, I just tell what I think of the movie and you go research it and decide if you want to see it. I will say that if you like vampire movies (not counting Twilight style) then this is a must see.

Movie: Friday the 13th PT.3

This is kinda an important movie in the series because as some people may not know this is when Jason actually gets his signature hockey mask. In part 1 Jason was not the killer (as you should know) it was his mother. In part 2 Jason just had a burlap sack type thing on his head so in part 3 we get the mask. Another issue though is part 3 was “3D” and I put that in quotes because the 3d of then is not the same 3d of now. So while I watched the movie on a regular 2d HD TV you can see all the silly parts that were supposed to be 3d like the spear be thrown right at the screen etc.

Movie: The Exorcist

First off I have been slacking I know, I was supposed to post these as I watched them.

I really should have seen this movie long ago but somehow did not until this October. Simply: the movie was good. Although this is 2010 and movies today are pretty intense as it is. So have heard the hype about this movie I was expecting to be scared to death and grossed out but no, not by today’s standards at least. My mom to this day is scared to death of the movie but she saw it in theaters long ago and she doesn’t watch many movies these days so she is not used to the desensitizing material that we have these days.

Greatest Zombie Game Ever?

First off let me say i love zombies, i dont know why…..

Anyway i love zombie movies and games like Resident Evil. Always loved that game in fact RE5 comes out soon and that will be good. Left 4 Dead is a new zombie survival horror game from valve who made counter strike, half-life, team fortress and more. They have a good reputation and any game they make its good. I pre-ordered this game and just picked it up today, however, i been playing the demo for over a week with my 2 co-workers who also pre-ordered the game so we already know it and played it. This game is specifically desinged for co-op play and makes you work and think together, its the best. Here is some info from their site.

Set in the immediate aftermath of the zombie apocalypse, L4D offers four expansive “movie campaigns” that challenge you and your fellow survivors to battle thousands of swarming zombies as you travel across the rooftops of an abandoned metropolis, through rural ghost towns and pitch-black forests. In addition to the movie campaigns, Left 4 Dead features a Versus mode that allows you to play as the Boss Zombies.

New technology dubbed “the AI Director” is used to generate a unique gameplay experience every time you play. The Director tailors the frequency and ferocity of the zombie attacks to your performance, adjusting pacing, special effects and audio on the fly.

I highly recommend anyone with xbox 360 to buy this game and play it with me. I will be playing this game for a long time, one thing about valve’s games is they go on and on and never really die like most other games. I still play the orange box and have no problem finding a game of “team fortress” online.

If you have seen any zombie movie’s like 28 days/weeks later or dawn of the dead this game is a mirror image of that, fast zombies and herd’s of them just coming at you, its quite a rush.

There is so much you need to know and see and all that can be found here www.l4d.com but for now i have to go and play this game or i would tell you myself 🙂
