Movie: Fright Night (1985)

Now, this is a movie I love, I grew up watching this movie.

Fright Night is an old-school vampire flick from the 80’s as a child I loved vampires and think every child goes through that stage. It at one point changed to a love werewolf movie and so on and so forth. Its hard to complain about this movie, it has all the classic vampire lore and while they never mention what time of year it is they set the scenes well with the sun setting early and leaves falling to the ground and I can only assume that it’s around Halloween time. Notice how I call these “thoughts” and not “reviews” I don’t want to give you lots of synopsis and plot lines, I just tell what I think of the movie and you go research it and decide if you want to see it. I will say that if you like vampire movies (not counting Twilight style) then this is a must see.

Movie: Friday the 13th PT.3

This is kinda an important movie in the series because as some people may not know this is when Jason actually gets his signature hockey mask. In part 1 Jason was not the killer (as you should know) it was his mother. In part 2 Jason just had a burlap sack type thing on his head so in part 3 we get the mask. Another issue though is part 3 was “3D” and I put that in quotes because the 3d of then is not the same 3d of now. So while I watched the movie on a regular 2d HD TV you can see all the silly parts that were supposed to be 3d like the spear be thrown right at the screen etc.

Movie: The Exorcist

First off I have been slacking I know, I was supposed to post these as I watched them.

I really should have seen this movie long ago but somehow did not until this October. Simply: the movie was good. Although this is 2010 and movies today are pretty intense as it is. So have heard the hype about this movie I was expecting to be scared to death and grossed out but no, not by today’s standards at least. My mom to this day is scared to death of the movie but she saw it in theaters long ago and she doesn’t watch many movies these days so she is not used to the desensitizing material that we have these days.
